The European Federation for Retirement Provision (EFRP) has welcomed the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) as a full member.

The ALFI is the representative body for the Luxembourg investment fund community. It has a dedicated pension fund working group, which works in close cooperation with the Association Luxembourgeoise des Fonds de Pension.

In another move decided at the EFRP’s General Assembly of the Members in November, the Croatian Association of Pension Fund Management Companies and Pension Insurance Companies has had its membership upgraded from observer status to full membership.

EFRP chair Patrick Burke said the federation is ‘very satisfied’ with the developments.

“They illustrate that EFRP Membership is attractive for all kind of workplace pension providers in Europe. The new membership strengthens our position as the leading voice on workplace pension provision,” Burke said.

The EFRP has members in most EU-15 member states, and affiliates Hungary, Romania, and Croatia across the Central and Eastern European region.
