Appointments Update - 13 September

State Street Global Advisors (SSgA) has strengthened its Fundamental Equity team in Ireland with the appointment of Jeremy James as senior research analyst covering global financials. They have also appointed Mark Prentice as senior research analyst who will focus on financial statement analysis and corporate engagement. James joins from Pioneer Investments where he worked as senior equity analyst in Dublin and Prentice joins from Goldman Sachs Asset Management in London where he worked as a forensic accountant.

Peter Lewis has joined Towers Watson as the head of its US real estate investment manager research team. Based in the New York office, he will lead a team of five researchers that analyse US real estate investment strategies for the company’s clients. Lewis joins from Liberty Mutual Group where he worked as a senior investment officer.

Aberdeen Asset Management has recruited Christophe Palumbo as business development manager to further strengthen its business in the Benelux region. Palumbo will be responsible for further building the company’s relationships with financial institutions in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Prior to this Palumbo worked for Carmignac Gestion as client relationship manager.

Lombard Odier Investment Managers has appointed Philip Chew as head of risk, operations and information technology. For the last five years, Chew worked as managing director in Blackrock Solutions. He also has 14 years experience managing the building of risk reporting, research and portfolio management systems at Blackrock Inc.
