Appointments Update

Fidelity Worldwide Investment has appointed Dominic Herbert as a relationship director within its government institutions group. In his new role, Herbert will develop Fidelity’s business in Francophone and West Africa. He previously worked at Artemis where he was responsible for its institutional business in the Middle East and for hedge fund business in all regions.

Celent has announced that Craig Weber is replacing Mike Harding as chief executive officer. Weber has been a senior vice president, with global responsibility for Celent’s Insurance division since 2007 and has also led the team’s expansion in North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America. Harding is a senior partner at Oliver Wyman and was appointed chief executive officer in 2009.

Ian Maybury has been appointed as head of solutions management in Scroders multi-asset & portfolio solutions group and will start his new role in April 2012. Prior to joining Schroders, Maybury worked at Redington where he was co-head of asset liability management and investment strategy and also established a centre of excellence in insurance and pensions asset liability management and capital management at Citigroup.

Pranay Gupta has been appointed as Lombard Odier's chief investment officer for Asia. Gupta will be responsible for strengthening Lombard Odier’s investment capability in Asia and delivering customized investment solutions for clients on a global basis. In his 20 years of experience in investment management and research, he oversaw the management of US $85bn of institutional, retail and insurance assets across 10 countries in Asia Pacific at INGIM.
