Appointments update 28 February 2019

- Marcus Bruns has been appointed Nordic head of sustainability at Norwegian pensions and insurance provider Storebrand.

Bruns, 26, joins Storebrand from Young Sustainable Impact, where he was one of the founders, and has also worked with consultant Qvartz and Norges Bank. In his position, Bruns will focus on sustainability across Storebrand’s financial products, as well as internally. He will report to executive vice president for communication, sustainability and business policy Karin Greve-Isdahl.

- Mediolanum Asset Management names Charles Diebel as its new head of fixed income strategy.

Diebel has over 30 years’ experience and was most recently global head of rates at Aviva Investors in London and head of market strategy at Lloyds Bank. Based in Dublin, he will report to head of market strategy Brian O’Reilly, and together they will work closely with head of investments Christophe Jaubert.

- Equity research and execution firm Redburn has hired Gonzalo Lopez and Charles Bendit to its Redburn Financials team.

Lopez joins the firm from Mirabaud Securities in Madrid where he was a sell-side analyst, and has previously worked for Banco Popular Espanol and Deloitte. He brings an extensive knowledge of Spanish banks to the team.

Bendit has joined Redburn to add to the firm’s capability in the capital markets and wealth and asset management industries, working closely with Nick Watts. Charles brings over three years of sector experience from his time as an analyst at Berenberg and Nomura.
