Italian pension fund for the trade, tourism and service workers pension fund, Fon.Te, has awarded Payden and Rygel a €230m mandate.
The investment firm will manage a global governments portfolio on behalf of the fund, managed by the firm’s specialist global government strategies team.
Commenting, Payden and Rygel managing director Nicolo Piotti said that the scheme is one of the leading Italian pension funds and the firm won the contract following a public tender earlier this year.
Payden and Rygel president and CEO, Joan Payden, said: “Our growing Italian client base has been particularly attracted by our ability to offer customised access and exposure to global markets, while paying close attention to liquidity, ESG criteria and the preservation of capital.”
