2009 Morningstar® Investment Conference, held in association with the Institute of Financial Planning
12-13 May 2009

Guoman Tower Hotel, London, UK

Morningstar, a leading provider of independent investment research, has announced keynote speakers and programme details for its annual investment conference in London on the 12th and 13th of May. More than 200 institutional and retail investment professionals are expected to attend.

The Morningstar investment conference will deliver insight and expert analysis from some of the country’s leading fund management professionals on topics including: the global economic outlook; stock picking; expectations for the global bond market; retirement planning; and the real value to investors of the popular, but often costly, funds of funds.

Keynote speakers include Morningstar’s Pat Dorsey, CFA, director of equity research and author of The Little Book That Builds Wealth. Dorsey’s presentation, ‘Capitalism 101,’ will reveal how competitive analysis and systemic market inefficiencies can bring value to investors.

The conference will also showcase new research from Morningstar’s Vice President of Research John Rekenthaler. Rekenthaler will present, for the first time in the UK, initial findings from a major 15-country study about the mutual fund investor experience. The findings are expected to highlight challenges faced by investors in the United Kingdom.

Other speakers include Fidelity’s Sanjeev Shah, Schroders’ Richard Buxton, and JPMorgan Asset Management CIO Richard Titherington.
