2009 Morningstar® Investment Conference, held in association
with the Institute of Financial Planning

Morningstar, a leading provider of independent investment
research, has announced keynote speakers and programme details for its
annual investment conference in London on the 12th and 13th of May. More
than 200 institutional and retail investment professionals are expected
to attend.
The Morningstar investment conference will deliver insight and expert
analysis from some of the country’s leading fund management professionals
on topics including: the global economic outlook; stock picking; expectations
for the global bond market; retirement planning; and the real value to
investors of the popular, but often costly, funds of funds.
Keynote speakers include Morningstar’s Pat Dorsey, CFA, director
of equity research and author of The Little Book That Builds Wealth. Dorsey’s
presentation, ‘Capitalism 101,’ will reveal how competitive
analysis and systemic market inefficiencies can bring value to investors.
The conference will also showcase new research from Morningstar’s
Vice President of Research John Rekenthaler. Rekenthaler will present,
for the first time in the UK, initial findings from a major 15-country
study about the mutual fund investor experience. The findings are expected
to highlight challenges faced by investors in the United Kingdom.
Other speakers include Fidelity’s Sanjeev Shah, Schroders’
Richard Buxton, and JPMorgan Asset Management CIO Richard Titherington.
