Pioneer Investments has revealed that it is to enter the
Irish Institutional Market, launching its institutional business in Ireland
as part of the company’s ongoing growth strategy.
The business will be led by Dave Santry as head of institutional business
development, Ireland, and will be supported by Kate Parker, vice president
of institutional sales in the UK and Ireland.
Paul Price, global head of institutional business at Pioneer Investments,
commented: “I believe we are now excellently placed to continue
growing our Irish institutional business. We are delighted to be successful
in the tendering process of National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA)
for managing the emerging markets equity fund for the National Pension
Reserve Fund (NPRF) Commission and we look forward to a long and fulfilling
relationship with them.”
Price added that the presence of Pioneer’s European investment and
operational hub in Dublin, gives them a “real competitive edge”,
and said the organisation hopes the development of their global institutional
network will give added support to their Irish venture.
“We are extremely optimistic about the opportunity for us to build
a significant institutional presence and in Dave Santry, we have someone
who is well known and respected in the market and an ideal choice to lead
this business,” Price added.
Santry joins from Bank of Ireland Asset Management (BIAM) where he worked
in the Irish Customer Business as senior relationship manager, dealing
with key institutional client and consultant relationships.
Pioneer Investments’ institutional business currently manages assets
of around €50bn.
