Tim Burggraaf is a Principal in
the retirement business at Mercer.
He is part of Mercer's European
DC Leadership Team as well as a
Global DC Expert and is a member
of several local and international
centres of excellence in Defined
Contribution and Pan-European pensions.
He is a member of the Dutch Order
of Pension Experts (NOPD), Circle
of Pension Specialists (KPS), International
Employee Benefits Association (IEBA)
and a member of the European Pension
Group of the Holland Financial Centre
which advises Dutch Government.
Burggraaf started working at age
21 with a local insurance company.
After this, he joined Aon Consulting
in 1993 as an employee benefit consultant.
After Aon, he moved to Mercer in
2000, first as a Senior Consultant,
then as Principal. His clients are
not so much located specifically
in one branch, but mainly consist
of larger corporations.
Finally, he is a regular speaker
at conferences across Europe and
has published two books (both on
defined contributions) and a large
quantity of articles.

Dr.
Hans van Meerten,
Principal Consultant,
Holland Financial Centre for Retirement
Management
Dr Hans van Meerten worked from
2005-2010 for the Dutch Central
Government, the Ministry of Finance
in The Hague. He dealt with EU financial
services and EU supervision. He
has extended knowledge of the various
aspects of EU-directives AIFM, UCITS
and IORP. He was involved in the
implementation of these directives
into national Dutch law (the Dutch
Financial Supervision Act).
Van Meerten knows the legal
practical ‘ins and outs’
of how to set up an investment (pension)
fund in the Netherlands.
One of his special areas of expertise
is the EU-legislation regarding
cross-border activities of investment
funds, both on and off-shore and
in and outside the EU. Van Meerten
can advise on the latest developments
with regard to the AIFM directive,
such as passporing issues.
Furthermore, van Meerten wrote
the legsiation regarding a new Dutch
pension investment fund, the Premium
Pension Insitution which has characteristics
of a UCITs and some traditional
Dutch investment funds.

Anton van Nunen,
Van Nunen & Partners
.
Since 1998, Anton van Nunen has
been the director/owner of Van Nunen
& Partners.
Prior to this, from 1988 to 1992,
he set up the research department
and was a director of Institutional
Sales of Rabobank International.
From 1992 to 1998 he was vice president
of Interpolis Insurance Company,
responsible for investments. During
2001 and 2002 he provided expert
advice in financial affairs for
a Dutch court.
After introducing the fiduciary
concept (2001), he wrote “Fiduciair
Management, Een blauwdruk voor een
goed bestuur van institutionele
beleggers” (2007), which was
translated into English(Wiley &
Sons 2008), Japanese (Uni Agency
2009) and German (FinanzbuchVerlag
2009). An Italian edition is foreseen
2010. He wrote numerous articles
for dedicated magazines and regularly
publishes in Wall Street Journal
and Financial Times.
In 2008 van Nunen won the European
Pensions Award for Personality of
the Year, and in 2009 the IPE Gold
Award for outstanding industry contribution.
Henk
van Embden,
Managing Director – Partner,
Lane Clark & Peacock Netherlands
B.V.
On 1 March 2008 Henk van Embden
was recruited to lead LCP in the
Netherlands.
He has extensive practical experience
in advising management on strategic
pension issues and in their negotiations
with works councils and trade unions.
Henk is a frequent speaker at international
benefit seminars and author of articles
for benefit magazines.
Van Embden has more than 30 years
of experience in (international)
pension and actuarial benefit consulting.
He is a member of Kring van PensioenSpecialisten
(KPS), the Dutch Association of
Pension Specialists and an affiliate
member of Actuarieel Genootschap
(AG), the Dutch Actuarial Society.
John Mulligan, Investment Marketing Manager, World Gold Council
John Mulligan joined the World Gold Council in early 2005, working initially as an investment research consultant focusing on asset allocation and then, since 2007, as Investment Marketing Manager, specifically focusing on institutional and UHNW investors.
Mulligan has worked in the financial markets for over 15 years, including senior roles in product development and marketing, trading systems, market data analysis, and relationship management. Beyond the City, he has consulted on research, business analysis and knowledge management projects for a range of clients, from small businesses to international corporations and supranational organisations. John has degrees from the University of Sussex and Birkbeck College, University of London.
He regularly writes and comments on gold and investment strategies in the financial and general media.
Ruud
Junge,
Director,
Route65
Ruud Junge has had many years of
experience in the world of pensions,
working for a broad range of companies
and functions. He started with the
Dutch Insurance Chamber, now part
of The National Bank of the Netherlands
(DNB), worked as an actuarial employee
with company pension funds of Hoogovens
(now Corus), and was employed for
many years as a pension counsellor
at Consultass, an ABN Amro subsidiary.
He then became partner with Baars
& Baars, a service agency in
the fields of pensions, benefits
and risk management. In 1987 he
started his own pension service
company, later developed into pension
service company JMH, which was acquired
by Hay Group in 1991. In 1993 he
became a partner in Hay Group, a
function he held until his retirement
in 2006 and is today director of
Route65.
Evert
van Ling,
Partner,
Lane Clark & Peacock Netherlands
B.V.

On 1 March 2008 Evert van Ling was
recruited to lead LCP in the Netherlands.
He designs and redesigns pension
schemes to the needs of the company.
He has an extensive knowledge and
experience in winding up pension
funds, leading negotiations between
companies and pension board members.
Van Ling brings more than 25 years
of experience to LCP. He is a member
of Kring van PensioenSpecialisten
(KPS), the Dutch Association of
Pension Specialists and an affiliate
member of Actuarieel Genootschap
(AG), the Dutch Actuarial Society.
Jan
Willem Siekman,
Head of Investment Consulting,

As Head Investment Consulting, Jan
Willem Siekman is responsible for
the strategy, further development
and innovation of Aon Hewitt Investment
Consulting.
Siekman has more than 17 years
experience in the financial and
asset management business. He started
his career at ING Group where he
held various management positions.
Subsequently he entered the employment
of Robeco as Executive Vice President
of the business unit Robeco Asset
Management where, among other things,
he was responsible for the big institutional
relations.
Aon Hewitt Investment Consulting
offers support in the development
of investment strategies and investment
processes. Investment Consulting
aims at pension fund governance,
derivatives advice, assesses policy
choices and risk management and
helps clients to clearly portray
a broad range of financial risks.
Matt
Wilmington,
Principal in Aon Hewitt's Global
Risk Services
Matt Wilmington is a Principal consultant
in Aon Hewitt's International Benefits
and Global Risk Services practices.
He spent the first part of his career
advising UK companies and trustees
on all aspects of pension funding
and risk management. Now focussed
on advising multinationals on global
pension financing and risk management
strategy and implementation, Wilmington
was the author of the recent Hewitt
Global Pensions Risk survey and
is a frequent speaker on pension
risk related matters.
Wilmington also leads the Aon Hewitt
European Longevity Solutions Group
– a centre of excellence expanding
the experience gained by Hewitt
in UK longevity risk and its management
into Continental Europe.
