First State Investments has launched the First State Emerging Markets Bond Fund, a UK ICVC available to investors in the UK and Europe. The Fund will aim to achieve a combination of income and capital appreciation through investing predominantly in hard currency debt securities issued or guaranteed by governments, financial institutions or companies in emerging markets.
Ashmore Investment Management Limited has announced the launch of the Ashmore SICAV emerging markets global equity fund and the Ashmore SICAV emerging markets global small-cap equity fund. The global equity fund will invest in equities issued by corporate and quasi-sovereigns where as the small-cap equity fund will invest in equities issued by small-cap corporates with a market cap of up to US $2bn.
Jose Mourinho and Henderson Global Investors have teamed up in a new advertising campaign which will run in the UK and countries across Continental Europe. The campaign will feature Mourinho in outdoor, online, national and trade press.
ING IM believes that the Greater China region presents strong returns opportunities due to its superior fiscal position in relation to other major economies. Public debt is currently running at just 18% of GDP compared to the US (59%), UK (77%), Germany (79%) and Japan (226%).
