Sampension will manage Danish army pensions

The Danish union for army constables HKKF has chosen Sampension as its partner to serve its 1,500 members, the provider has announced.

HKKF’s board of directors has decided to move the scheme for long-term employees and corporates from provider Nordea Liv and Pension to achieve better pension savings with a comprehensive insurance package and strengthened focus on counselling and prevention.

Commenting on the decision in a statement, HKKF chair Flemming Vinther said: “We have primarily assessed the tough parameters price, investment returns and terms.

“As Sampension is the cheapest overall for investment, insurance and administration, it means members can look forward to higher pension savings than would have been achieved otherwise,” Vinther said.

HKKF’s occupational pension scheme complements Sampension’s position in the state area as it manages schemes for almost 50,000 state employees already. Sampension said it will offer the army members an overview of their retirement and ensure that they will get the most from their options.

Vinther also said that softer parameters, service and advice were reasons Sampension were chosen to manage the pension pot.

“Sampension is a pension provider owned by the customers, who’s most important task is to secure members’ the best possible retirement. It does that at the same time as it offers solid insurance coverage and a fair compensation and administration,” Vinther said.
