Mandates - August 2010

State Street Corporation has been chosen by Strategic Investment Group (SIG) to provide investment services for its new UCITS product, Strategic Active Trading Funds plc. State Street’s operations in Ireland will provide a range of fund administration services to the new fund.

AEGON Asset Management has been awarded a £300million pension scheme mandate from Molins PLC, a leading manufacturing company. The mandate will see AEGON play a significant role in the Molins UK Pension Fund, and will enhance the strategic asset allocation and funding plan developed by the Trustees and their advisers.

Danish financial services group Nykredit has chosen the US Equity Strategy of RCM to manage a €350million mandate. The decision follows a tendering process involving 86 other companies, and RCM was chosen for its structured and disciplined investment process and its research platform, GrassrootsSM.

The Royal British Legion Staff Pension Fund has chosen Hewitt Associates to provide investment consultancy services. The non-profit organisation that protects the welfare, interests and memory of those who are serving or have served in the armed forces has a pension fund of around £70million, and 1,400 members.

Hymans Robertson has been chosen as investment adviser to the £200million University of Edinburgh Staff Benefits Scheme. The firm will provide the full range of investment advisory services to the trustees, including strategic advice and manager selection.
