The European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (EVCA) has announced the appointment of Emma Thorpe as head of communications. She will be responsible for EVCA’s public relations and membership communications. Between 2007 and 2011 Thorpe was director of European communications for private equity firm, The Carlyle Group. She has also worked for Penrose Financial, Weber Shandwick and Cognito.
Russell Investments has appointed Pascal Duval as chief executive officer of its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) businesses. Duval joined Russell in 1994 and has held various European leadership positions and has overseen services to pension funds, insurance companies and government entitities. He has also worked as investment consultant at Wyatt Paris.
Jon Zehner has joined LaSalle Investment Management as head of global capital markets and will start his new role in March. Zehner will deal with a range of activities such as capital raising, new product development, merchant banking and cross-border strategic investments. He joins from AREA Property Partners where he was a senior director.
